The Music Box in San Diego, CA

Having been a fan of Echosmith for so long, I can’t believe this was my first time seeing them live.  They fell out of my radar for a while but when I was making my rounds to check upcoming concerts I knew I wanted to go to this.  To my surprise they had released a new song on Spotify called, “Over My Head” from their upcoming second studio album -which I can’t wait to listen to.  I brushed up on old songs I still knew all the lyrics to and familiarized myself with their newer material.  I was happy to find that this band is one of those rare cases where the music actually sounds better live.

The band hit the stage with a bang, literally.  Rainbow confetti covered the stage and crowd from the very beginning and it perfectly paved the way for the ongoing party that was the rest of the set.  Sydney won the crowd over with her charm, beautiful voice, and engaging stage presence.  There wasn’t a dull moment throughout the entire set, not even the acoustic songs mellowed out the room.  I look forward to what this trio of siblings has in store for us on their upcoming album.  I wouldn’t hesitate to see them again either. Fun vibes all around is all you can really ask for in a good show and they delivered.
