K.Flay sold out a long-awaited night at the Observatory North Park after her original show in January was postponed due to an unexpected shutdown of the venue.  The set included songs frequently played on the radio such as “Blood in the Cut,” “High Enough,” and one of my personal favorites, “Giver.”  This female powerhouse is one to watch with her unique alternative hip-hop/indie sound and the evident emotion she puts forth in her songs.  I love seeing women in the music world thriving, and I can only see K.Flay climbing up the ladder after already being a nominee for 2 Grammy awards this year.  Hopefully next time she makes her way into town I will have learned more of her lyrics so I can sing along because seeing her get lost in the music just makes you want to join her.
