There’s an ebb and flow to all things in the world. You find yourself a new passion, get super excited about it and then it takes up most of your time and attention. Then once the newness wears off, things start feeling routine and when things starts feeling routine, what was once exciting becomes the norm and maybe even complacent. This is why I’m a firm believer in taking your time (even I may sometimes lose sight of that) and regularly thinking back at past events and appreciating what you’ve done to get to today.

Leave it to a local show to reaffirm my love for live music, as it was a blast out at the Fine Line on a Saturday night for Throw the Fight. Fans of Atreyu, Trivium, and even August Burns Red will feel right at home when listening to Throw the Fight, who have perfect blends of heavy, groovy and incredibly catchy music. Closing on “The Broken Youth” will be remembered as one of the heaviest and chaotic moments experienced live.

Calling it now: Throw the Fight, who’ve toured alongside Bullet For My Valentine, Black Veil Brides, and soon Avenged Sevenfold, will become one of the new bands to reach those band’s level of success. Don’t miss these guys if they come to your city, and check out their new tunes coming out this year, starting with their upcoming cover of Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better.”
