Beartooth is on the road in support of their latest record, Aggressive and has brought along Every Time I Die for one hell of a show. The guys stopped by the House of Blues in San Diego and TORE. IT. UP.
I made it inside the venue just in time to catch Buffalo’s Every Time I Die. If you’re not a fan of the band at the beginning of the night I give you 2 songs max before you realize that has changed. The guys kicked their set off with “Glitches” and went straight into “We’rewolf” so I’m sure you can imagine that by song 2 the whole crowd was in motion. Seeing the guys is a blur anyway, so much energy and action that if you blink you will literally miss it. I don’t know how the guys manage to be so gritty and simultaneously graceful but it happens. If you’ve yet to see Every Time I Die in action try to change that the next time they come to town and I would highly suggest you check out Low Teens, it’s solid.
By the time Beartooth hit the stage the crowd was ready for round 2. The guys kicked their set off with “Burnout” and followed with a one-two punch and played “Aggression” and “Beaten In Lips.” The crowd went NUTS and stayed that way. The band played a healthy dose of songs off their latest record but made sure to add in fan favorites including, “In Between” and “The Lines.” The crowd looked like they were having the time of their lives and the band clearly fed off that energy. Frontman Caleb Shomo is a force to be reckoned with on stage and it’s always fun to watch Kamron Bradbury to see what he might do. Overall, Beartooth collectively KILLED it and I can’t wait for the guys to come back. Make sure you grab a copy of Aggressive and keep up with the rest of the tour if it hits your area- tour dates are here.
