Amsterdam Bar and Hall in St. Paul, MN.

Just like Skyway Theater was the venue that made me get into concert photography, Good Tiger is one of the bands that’s responsible. I saw Between the Buried and Me last April and between the time of learning of that show and going to it, I checked out Good Tiger who were the opening band and have been hooked since. Their music is progressive, yet not bogged down in convoluted unnecessary time signatures, as well as equal parts heavy and incredibly melodic.

Good Tiger are hitting the studio this January to work on a follow up record to A Head Full of Moonlight, lead singer Elliot Coleman mentioned during their set. I’m super excited and hoping they come up back here to the Twin Cities in support of it soon! Maybe a headline show? With ’67 Pontiac Firebird added to the set list? A person can wish.
