Music Tastes Good
September 24th, 2016
Downtown Long Beach, CA

On September 24th, 2016, the inaugural Music Tastes Good Festival was held in Downtown Long Beach, California. A thriving arts & music scene, amplified by a three day festival, saw the partial closure of Broadway as locals and visitors roamed the streets bouncing from stage to stage — not to mention the array of food and brew in between.

The day kicked off with diverse sets from local Long Beach bands & musicians, leading into the night where bigger acts like The Melvins and Iron & Wine took center stage. Saturday’s lineup included headlining 80’s legends, The Specials, noise rockers, METZ, indie duo, Girlpool, the eccentric Le1f, and L.A. natives, Warpaint, celebrating their new album which had come out the day before. From the hip-hop party that was P.O.S.’s set, to the fast paced punk of The Ziggens, there was something for everybody at MTG.
