NOFX stopped by the House of Blues in San Diego Thursday night bringing along Portland’s Mean Jeans and Milwaukee’s Direct Hit.  The sold out show was part of The Hepatitis Bathtub tour in support of the band’s autobiography, The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories.  The energy was understandably high and emotions were running wild as in typical NOFX show fashion, mosh pits were constantly breaking out and beer cups made their way to the front of the stage.  The band was in good spirits as they began their set with “Dinosaurs Will Die” to the tune of everyone in attendance.  Then they hit us with a 1-2 punch as they followed with “Seeing Double at the Triple Rock,” “Fuck the Kids,” and “Linoleum.”  The guys played jam after jam in between hilarious banter.  Eric Melvin was all smiles as he shredded on guitar and El Hefe followed suit.  Fat Mike sounded as great as ever and Erik Sandin aka Smelly was hitting his drums like they owed him money.  It was RAD.  Fans were aggressive but looked like they were having the time of their lives as body surfers made their way to the front.  We all knew what we were getting outselves into afterall and we happily roughed it out for a chance to sing along.  Say whatever you want but there’s nothing like a NOFX show.  Make sure you catch the band when they hit your city and check out their book signing information too!  The guys are signing books in stores in the cities they’re playing day of show so you may as well make a day out of it.  Dates are here.
