Before they set off their Hawaiian Punch Tour, the bros from Kona rolled in with the winter heatwave to the House of Blues on President’s Day and gave San Diego a plethora of good vibes and soulful reggae rock music.
Even though it was a Monday night, the fans radiated energy once Pepper kicked things off with favorites from their famous debut album Kona Town. Bassist and vocalist, Brad Bollinger showed up wearing a baby blue Star Wars tank top to represent the brand new episode in the galactic saga. To pay even more homage, the band laid down their Star Wars inspired track “Storm Trooper” during the middle of the set.
Lead guitarist, Kaleo Wassman dazzled the audience with his hard reggae licks and his sweet pair of aviator shades. Yesod Williams, Pepper’s ace drummer rocked the epic beard and set the tone with his dub based drumming.
I suggest getting a ticket to see Pepper live once they get the Hawaiian Punch Tour on the road. They’ll be touring across the U.S. with Iration. Dates can be found here.
