9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.

It is extremely difficult to think of a more fun band to see than Jungle.  What started as an empty 9:30 Club became almost completely filled as Jungle’s set approached and turned into a Thursday-night dance party shortly thereafter.  Jungle’s self-titled debut album is really fantastic, but since I last saw the band at Union Transfer in 2014, the band’s act has gotten significantly better.  They were pretty mind-blowing the first go around, but they have since added an extra vocalist, a percussionist, and some cool lights.  As great as the songs sound on the album, they have seriously evolved into live masterpieces.  For instance, the song “Drops” slowly turned into a rave, which was pretty awesome.  Lastly, I’d like to point out how impressed I am that these two deep-voiced British dudes manage to reach such a high falsetto.  If you can’t tell I really love Jungle; check them out on tour, you will have a disco-infused blast!
