Mild High Club’s name pretty much says it all.  This quintet was delectable, in all the right ways.  If Connan Mockasin and Mac DeMarco were to have an oh so beautiful love child – Mild High Club would be it.  No wonder they were signed to legendary label Stones Throw Records.  After having relocated to Los Angeles, the band is set to play a bunch of shows around the SoCal area.  You’re going to want to catch them before they blow the fudge up.

Wand always bring the fire.  I’ve seen them thrice now and they never cease to impress.  They played an infectious blend of insanely melodic garage rock which segued into straight up face melting Fuzz War fuzziness.  It was loud, but the amount of control lead singer Corey Hanson exerted over his guitar made it manageable.  If you want your ears tickled with some of the craziest guitar sounds you’ll ever hear, Wand is the band for you.

After two widely successful albums, Mikal Cronin set to release his third album in front of a packed crowd at Eagle Rock Center For The Arts.  The crowd simmered down as Mikal dropped two new music videos from his upcoming album.  Most of the crowd didn’t know what was coming as the new album started playing and the videos were projected onto the screens behind the band.  Mikal and his band then launched into a tight set, rounded out with new songs and old.  MC III comes out May 4th, make sure to check it out.
