The Frozen Flame Tour is underway friends! August Burns Red brought along Miss May I, Northlane, Erra, and Fit For A King out to the Glass House in Pomona for a sold out show that left everyone drenched in sweat and all smiles. I made it out to Pomona just in time to catch Northlane kill it. They were followed by Miss May I who put on a hell of a show. August Burns Red hit the stage last but absolutely not least. Any stagnant energy was quickly put into movement as numerous crowd surfers made their way to the front. The ABR guys made sure to acknowledge their crowd surfers while performing like a well-oiled machine throughout the entire set. They have their performance down to a science and take full advantage of every opportunity to bring it up a few notches. They make use of every second they have on stage and are all smiles while they do it. Frontman Jake Luhrs knows exactly what the crowd wants and leads the way acting like a conductor at times. It’s super rad to see. The rest of the band made sure to pump up the energy whenever they could as well, as technical as their guitar and drum work it they sure make it look easy. On and off platforms, guitars up and out in the air, and the sprints across the stage -these guys are super fun to watch and they never miss a beat. Drummer Matt Greiner is a beast and kept everyone with their heads banging. The setlist was curated perfectly for crowd participation especially during “Marianas Trench” and “Capre Diem” and “Empire” that were played as an encore. You guys, trust me, make sure you make your way out to see the Frozen Flame tour, you will not regret it! Dates are here.
