The last show of 2014 I attended at the House of Blues in San Diego was an acoustic show. It’s fitting that the first show I attended at the same venue in 2015 was an acoustic show as well. This time it was Elder Brother, Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties, I Can Make A Mess, and Anthony Green. A relatively chill Friday night was spent listening to the sweet jams of Elder Brother who had the liveliest set of the night. Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties, a side project of Dan Campbell also known as Soupy from The Wonder Years, hit the stage next. His music reminded me of earlier Kevin Devine material which was pretty nice to hear. I hadn’t seen I Can Make A Mess since the Copeland farewell tour back in 2010. Ace Enders has continued to kill it and he had no trouble enamoring the audience within seconds of him getting on stage. By the time Anthony Green went up the venue was full and everyone had made their way to the floor. He serenaded the crowd beautifully and was all smiles as the audience sang his words back to him. Make sure you catch the tour if it comes your way, you won’t regret it! Dates are here.
