Jimmy Eat World is at it again folks! Like with Clarity and Bleed American, the band has set out on tour to celebrate Futures’ 10 year anniversary and play the record in full. Their last stop of the US leg of the tour was at the beautiful Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. The band didn’t waste any time and jumped straight into Futures’ title track. The crowd’s excitement built quite nicely matching the song and by the time they got to the first single, “Pain” the crowd was practically frantic. Even those in the balcony forgot their seats for the moment. Jimmy Eat World finished out the rest of the record and left the stage only to return again for their first of two encores. They played some songs off of their EP, Stay On My Side Tonight including “Disintegration.” They played it beautifully and even added in a second drummer to achieve those massive drum parts that make the song so good. A definite highlight of the night for sure. Their last encore consisted of some of their most popular tracks. They started with “I Will Steal You Back” and finished with “The Middle.” Jimmy Eat World left the crowd sweaty, content, and enamored as usual. Their US dates are complete but if you’re abroad you’d be silly to miss out on this tour. See the rest of the dates here.
