Squeezing in a last minute show before my flight to Riot Fest was a no brainer especially when we’re talking Radkey, Touché Amoré, and Rise Against. These guys hit up the beautiful Wiltern in Los Angeles on their way to San Diego before they head to Riot Fest themselves. Radkey put on an electrifying performance that had the crowd in a frenzy within in seconds of their set. They were followed by Touché Amoré whose reputation precedes them. If Touché Amoré is on the lineup you are guaranteed a damn good time. This night at the Wiltern was no exception. Finally Rise Against hit the stage and set the crowd on fire. Their fans went insane and with due right, these guys know how to get the crowd moving immediately. Especially when their first three songs were “Ready to Fall,” “Give It All,” and “Re-Education (Through Labor).” Eventually, frontman Tim Mcllrath ditched his guitar and headed for the crowd. I don’t blame him, I met some of the friendliest people in the pit and with the energy they were emitting why the hell not? After each band’s performance I am even more stoked for what I’ll be seeing at Riot Fest. Stay tuned!
