RX Bandits made a stop in San Diego last Sunday night with friends The Dear Hunter and From Indian Lakes to take on the House of Blues. Right off the bat, From Indian Lakes sounded on point. Their well put together sounds was a pleasant start to the night. Up next from the East Coast was The Dear Hunter lead by Casey Crescenzo. This is one of those bands you will be much more impressed with seeing them live. The energy left such an impact on the crowd that people where yelling for an encore. We don’t see very many openers getting that kinda of praise here in San Diego. Just goes to show how their combination of unusual sounds can be so good. Then to the stage came RX Bandits from Southern California. Right from the get go, the crowd was going wild -shaking the railing almost to it’s breaking point. The show was also speaking visually with a space-like back drop and a compilation of light bulbs spelling out “RX.” The energy didn’t stop throughout the entire set for RX Bandits. Their slight reggae sound in the songs made it just that much more fun to move around to. Without a doubt, an RX Bandits show is definitely the place to be when these guys come by your town.
