Say hello to our newest (and youngest) photographer yet, Max Sall! Based out of Philly, when Max isn’t working his way through high school he’s out shooting and listening to some of his favorite bands that include: The National and Wilco among others. Welcome Max!
The Head and the Heart played their second of two highly anticipated, sold out shows on Saturday at Union Transfer. Quiet Life, from Portland, OR, opened up the night with a set that featured songs from their new album Wild Pack. Quiet Life’s performance was very good and I found it to be a highlight of the evening. Thao & the Get Down Stay Down played a longer set of alt-folk songs that were very interesting and well received by the audience.
The Head and the Heart didn’t take the stage until 10:30. Their set featured songs from their brand new album Let’s Be Still as well as some older material. An awesome performance of popular single “Down in the Valley” was a highlight of the show. The Head and the Heart did not disappoint their fans in Philly.
