Yep. City halls in France throw free concerts featuring people like the UK singer/songwriter Ben Howard (and his multitalented “Hey, I’ll play bass and drums and you play drums and bass” musicians and recent French songstress success Mina Tindle. I headed back to a jammed city hall-that ain’t gonna get old saying-for Revolver, a pop trio that had an additional live bassist up on stage. Revolver’s pop skews towards the pop harmonies of 60s, but without the creaky cobwebs of being rooted entirely in the past. If that sounds good to you, give them a listen. Music For A While is out in the States (iTunes).
