Photography: Savannah Smith EP Release Show (St. Paul)

Amsterdam Bar and Hall in St. Paul, Minnesota

I was excited to head down to the Amsterdam Bar and Hall for several reasons on Saturday night. For one, I love the venue and to see a show there is always a treat. Second reason was that the lineup was strong enough to drag a lot of people over from Minneapolis into St Paul. Third and most important: Savannah Smith’s EP Release show.

Her newest EP will be on iTunes in the near future, but in the meantime, she did give me the go-ahead to post a download link while it is still not available on the net. Check the EP out here: “Savannah Smith EP” (right click and save) and check out the videos I shot below. The song “Sugar Veins” can be heard with a full band on the EP and Savannah on her own in the video.

This was the first night I had been to a show with the Hall stage in use.
A Ukulele and her voice provided a stripped down sound vs the new EP songs with a band.

Of course I needed to include a black and white shot

Representing the old guard of the Twin Cities music scene, “The Honeydogs” headlined the night.
Love me some slide.
