Gallery: Yellow Ostrich at der Rathskeller
First off, thank you Blair for being so great and friendly after missing your set due to conflicting starting times. For pics and a write-up on her show weeks earlier at the High Noon, check it here. Stay tuned everyone throughout the year with what she’s up to, especially post-Die Young. Yellow Ostrich was relatively new, with The Mistress (Bandcamp) being the first album that really stole away my attention. Though Monday night, the 50s fuzz on the vocals were long removed, replaced with a live performance that compels a single revisit to Alex Schaaf’s catalogue-single in the way that I’m now irreversibly convinced by the catchiness of his mix of more experimental indie and stalwart, classic turn of the millennium indie pop. Yellow Ostrich will be touring with Wildbirds & Peacedrums shortly.
